Shakti Sarees

You can find Shakti Sarees at No. 316 in the Ajanta Shopping Centre. This is right on the Ring Road, which is basically the heart of the textile hub here. We are up on one of the higher floors so we get to look down at all the chaos on the street below. Most of our day is spent unfolding and folding fabrics. It is a lot of physical work that people don't really see. The Ajanta building is always buzzing with people running up and down the stairs. Sometimes the elevator works and sometimes it doesn't, so we get plenty of exercise. We keep our workspace pretty simple with just the essentials. There are stacks of sarees everywhere you look. We try to keep some order but during the busy season, it gets a bit messy. We have been in this specific unit for quite some time now. The hallway outside is narrow and often filled with bags waiting to be picked up. We know the other shop owners on this floor and we often share news or a quick meal together. It feels like a small community inside this massive shopping center. When the sun starts to set, the Ring Road lights up and that is usually when we start packing up for the night. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a regular shop doing its work day after day.
