Saurashtra Pan Centre

We are located on Varachha Road, specifically in Room Number 3. It is a very small space, but we make it work. Most of the room is taken up by the counter and the supplies we need for the pan. We’ve got the different types of betel nuts and the pastes all lined up in little containers. It’s a bit of a tight fit if there’s more than two people working. Outside, the road is always moving. People are always in a hurry on Varachha Road. We get a lot of laborers and shop owners from the nearby buildings. They usually know what they want before they even walk up. We don’t have any fancy displays or big advertisements. Just the name and the shop. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it keeps the air moving. We stay open pretty late because that’s when people are looking for a bit of pan after their dinner. It’s a lot of repetitive work, cutting and mixing, but it keeps us busy. We don’t really change things around much. The layout has been the same for years. If you’re passing by this section of the road, you’ll see us right there. It’s just a honest little business, nothing more than that. We just focus on keeping the ingredients fresh and making sure we don’t run out of lime paste in the middle of the night.
