Sampada Sarees

Our shop is Sampada Sarees, and we're tucked away in Parth Apartment at number 1002. We're right across from the Corner Point Shopping Center in the City Light area. It’s a bit different being in an apartment building rather than a main street storefront. It feels a little more private and quiet here once you get inside. We spend our days surrounded by colorful sarees of all kinds. There are heaps of them everywhere on the tables and shelves. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding them because they get messy quickly when people are looking through the designs. It’s just a few of us working here together. We aren't a big corporation with lots of rules and managers. We just treat people like neighbors when they walk in. Sometimes we have an extra cup of chai for anyone who hangs around and we talk about everything except clothes. City Light is a nice area, and we like being part of the neighborhood. The walk up to the tenth floor can be a bit much if the lift is slow or out of order, but we don't mind it. We just focus on the fabrics and the different patterns we have in stock. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just like sarees and enjoy the work we do every day. It’s a simple life and a simple business for us. We keep the doors open and see who comes by to visit. There is no pressure or big sales pitch here.
