Samira Textile

Our place, Samira Textile, is located at number 8 in the New Motiwala Market. It sits right on Sonal Cross Road in Surat. The area is always buzzing with people, bikes, and vehicles. We started this because we knew a thing or two about cloth and textiles. It’s a basic shop, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have wooden shelves piled high with various textiles. Sometimes the stacks get a bit wobbly when we pull something out from the bottom. We try to keep the place clean, but with all the fabric coming in and out, there's always some lint on the floor. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy things for us. It’s just us working the counter and the back room. We get a lot of locals who come in looking for something specific for their projects. We do our best to help them without any of that high-pressure sales stuff. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living for us. The Sonal Cross Road area is a good spot, even if the parking around here is a total nightmare. Most of our day is spent measuring, cutting, and folding pieces of cloth. It’s repetitive work, but we find a good rhythm in it as the day goes on. We have a small radio that plays in the background to keep us going while we work. That’s pretty much how things are here at Samira Textile.
