Sameer Textiles

We operate out of Silk House Market right here in Surat. It's a busy place and always smells a bit like old fabric and morning tea. Sameer Textiles has been a part of this market for a good while. Our space is usually packed with different materials from floor to ceiling. It isn't the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is hidden. Mostly, we spend our time talking to suppliers and checking the orders coming in. Surat is famous for this kind of work, so there's a lot of competition around every corner. We don't pay much attention to that, though. We just focus on what's in front of us. Some days the market is so crowded you can barely walk through the narrow aisles. It gets hot, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the building. We have a few old fans going, but they don't do much to cool us down. It's just a regular local business. No one here wears a suit or uses big words to impress people. We talk like regular people because that's what we are. If someone needs a specific type of cloth, we look for it. If we don't have it, we just say so. It is not worth telling tales just to move some bolts of cloth. The Silk House has its own history and we are just one small part of that story. We keep things simple and try to be honest about what we can do every day.
