Sai Prem Sarees

If you walk into the MG Market on Ring Road, you will find us at Shop No. 5 on the ground floor. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because we have so many bundles of sarees piled up everywhere. The market is always crowded, especially during the wedding season, and there is a lot of shouting and moving around. We mostly deal with different types of sarees that people wear for daily use or small functions. It is a family thing, so we are usually here all day. The ground floor location is good because people don't have to climb stairs, which they seem to appreciate. Sometimes the lights in the market flicker, but we just keep showing the fabric to whoever walks in. We don't really have a big fancy office. It’s just the shop with some benches for customers to sit on. We spend a lot of time folding and unfolding cloth. It gets tiring on the back, but it is what we do. Dealing with wholesalers and individual buyers takes up the whole afternoon. Sometimes we drink tea with the neighbors when it gets a little quiet around four o'clock. We try to keep the stock fresh so there is something new to look at every week. There isn't much to say other than we are just here every day trying to keep the business going in the middle of all this Ring Road chaos. We stay open late most nights to finish the paperwork.
