S. V. Lace

We are located at 3/6734, right across from Shighapura Bhari in the Salabatpura area. It is a part of town that is famous for its lace and embroidery work, so we fit right in with the rest of the shops. The workshop is in a narrow lane, and it can be a bit of a squeeze when the delivery vans try to come through during the middle of the day. S. V. Lace is basically just a few rooms full of machines and hundreds of spools of thread. It is quite noisy because those machines make a rhythmic clicking sound that you can hear all the way from the street. We have all gotten so used to the noise that we do not even notice it anymore while we talk. The floor is usually covered in little bits of lace and snips of string that fall during the day. We do not have a professional cleaning crew that comes in every hour, so it looks like a place where actual work happens. The lighting is not the best in the back, but we have bright lamps over the machines so we can see the fine details of the patterns. Most of us have been working with lace for a long time. We do not have a fancy showroom for customers. It is just a workshop where we take orders, run the machines, and package everything up.
