Royal Jack

Royal Jack is at number 62 in Subhash Nagar. We are directly across from Ram Chowk and the Canara Bank on Ghod Dod Road Ghod Dood Road. Traffic here is always loud. We hear horns all day long, but you get used to it. The shop isn't very big. Because space is tight, we’ve put shelves all the way to the ceiling. We use a wobbly stool to reach the top items. You have to be careful up there. The floor tiles are old and worn out from years of people walking on them. Most of the time, I’m just chatting with neighbors or checking the stock. My father still likes to sit in his old chair near the entrance every morning. He watches the world go by. We keep our sales records in thick binders on a desk in the back. Some faded posters are still on the walls. They have been there forever. We know the bank staff and the guys at the tea stall well. It’s a nice community despite the noise. We don't have a website or any of those fancy things. We just open the doors every morning and see who comes in to browse. By the time it gets to eight o'clock, we are usually ready to call it a day. We straighten the shelves, turn off the lights, and lock the front door. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. Tomorrow will be exactly the same, and that is fine by us.
