Romanshi Creation

Romanshi Creation is located in a basement spot, C 10/239, over in Khapatia Chakla, Gopipura. We’re right near the Bank of Baroda, which is a good landmark because the lanes around here can get confusing. Being in the basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, but it can get a little damp when it rains hard. We do a lot of our own work on the clothes here. You’ll usually see us sitting at the tables with needles or checking the embroidery. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone drinking tea and someone else working. The stairs down to the shop are a bit steep, so you have to watch your step. We’ve been in Gopipura for a long time and know most of the people on this street. We don’t have fancy displays, just some shelves and a few hangers. We focus on the work itself rather than making the place look like a showroom. The street outside is always full of scooters and people walking to the bank. It’s noisy but we like being in the middle of it all. We stay open until the sun goes down and then some. It’s just our daily routine, making things and chatting with neighbors who stop by. Often, we find ourselves staying extra late to finish up some custom pieces that people are waiting for. That’s just part of the job and we don’t mind it much. It’s a busy neighborhood and we like it here.
