Rohit Textiles

We run Rohit Textiles from the second floor of a building at V 3134. We’re tucked away on 1st Main, 4th Cross in the Ittamadu Layout area, right near the Kathriguppe Ring Road. It can be a little tricky to find if you aren't familiar with the cross streets around here. We deal with a lot of fabric and rolls of cloth. The space is filled with the smell of new textiles and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths and cutting pieces for customers. The Ring Road is always loud, but back here in the layout, it's a bit quieter. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. There’s no big sign outside, just our name on the door. We don't use any fancy machines, just the usual stuff for measuring and packing. My brother helps with the heavy lifting because those fabric rolls are no joke. We keep the windows open for a breeze but then the street noise comes in. It's a simple operation. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure we don't mix up the patterns. Most of our day is spent standing or moving things around. It’s tiring but it’s what we do. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order and then walk down to the corner for dinner. We have a lot of work to do but it's okay.
