You will find Rivera Sarees at Shop Number 1050 in Adarsh Market 2 on Ring Road. This is one of the many busy spots in Surat where sarees are the main thing being traded. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with different styles and colors of cloth. It can get a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to seeing so much fabric in one place. We don't use any high-tech systems to manage our stock; we mostly just rely on our old notebooks and our memory. It seems to work well enough for us. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most famous name out there. We just want to sell sarees that people actually want to wear for their functions. Every day, we have people coming in looking for something specific for a wedding or maybe just for daily use at home. We talk to them, show them a few of the options we have, and usually they find something they like. It is a very direct way of doing business without any middleman. We don't have any glossy brochures or fancy mission statements to show off. We just open the shop in the morning and stay until all the work is finished. Sometimes we have to stay late when a big shipment arrives and we have to count everything manually. It’s tiring but part of the job we do.
