Being at Millennium Textile Market is busy. We've been at unit J-2549 for a long time now. Most days start early with opening the metal shutters. Ring Road is always crowded with people looking for sarees. We keep our stock here on the wooden shelves. It gets a little dusty sometimes because of all the traffic outside. People usually stop by after seeing the small sign we have. We handle all the bills and the folding ourselves. It's a small space, but we make it work for us. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a short break on the stools. The market has its own rhythm that you get used to. We deal with suppliers and customers face to face every day. It’s not a fancy shop, just a regular place where we spend most of our daylight hours. The address is easy to find if you already know the Ring Road area well. We’ve seen many other shops come and go around us over the years. Being in J-2549 means we are part of this huge textile hub. Some days are slow, while other days we can't even sit down for a minute. We just focus on getting the sarees out to the people who need them. It's just how we earn our living here. The floors get swept every morning before we start. We know the neighbors. If you're walking through Millennium, you'll eventually see us there. There is nothing too complicated about it. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next person to walk in and browse.
