Punjabi Rasoi

Our business, Punjabi Rasoi, is at 11, Ground Floor of the Samay Complex. We are on Anand Mahal Road in Surat, 395009. We are right opposite the Sagar Complex. This is a very busy road in Surat with a lot of shops and offices around us. Our shop is quite small, but it’s enough for what we do. We have a counter and some space for the stove and the sink. We spend a lot of time preparing everything in the morning. Anand Mahal Road is never quiet. There is always the sound of traffic and people talking outside. We have some regular customers who work in the nearby offices. They come in every day at the same time. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People just know we are here. The walls of the shop are a bit plain and we have some old calendars hanging up. It’s a simple setup. We focus on our daily work. Cleaning the floors and washing the dishes takes up a lot of our time. Surat is a city where people really enjoy their food, so there is always competition, but we just focus on our own kitchen. We start early and stay until the last customer leaves in the evening. It’s a long day but we are used to the routine of the Samay Complex and the busy street.
