Down here at B 3 in Godadara, things are usually pretty steady. Punit Textile is just a regular shop where we keep our fabric stocks. The space isn't huge, but we make it work by stacking things high against the back walls. Usually, the morning starts with sweeping the floor and checking what came in the previous night. Godadara can be a busy place, especially with all the transport vehicles moving around the narrow lanes near the market area. We’ve had this spot for a few years and the neighbors are all in the same line of work, so we help each other out with small things like sharing tools or helping with heavy boxes. It’s not some high-end showroom with air conditioning. We keep the lights simple and the chairs are just for sitting when the legs get tired. Most of the time, we are busy measuring out pieces or packing bundles for the local buyers. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour, and we just sit outside and talk until it comes back. It is a very normal way to earn a living. We don't have a big corporate team, just a couple of us making sure everything is in good shape before it goes out. People stop by, ask for prices, and we show them what is on the racks. There's no pressure here. We just try to keep the business running and stay on good terms with everyone.
