Progres Fabrics

Our place, Progres Fabrics, is located right in Nana Varachha Gam. It’s a busy area and we are situated opposite Koli Faliya. If you know the neighborhood, it's pretty easy to find. We spend most of our time dealing with rolls of cloth and making sure the colors look okay under the lights. It’s not a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. Some mornings are slow but by afternoon the place is usually full of activity. We’ve got a few people working the tables and someone usually has the radio on. The traffic outside in Surat can be a real headache, especially during the festive seasons when everyone is moving goods around. We just keep our heads down and focus on the orders we have. It’s dusty work sometimes. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the workshop where the real work happens. Most of the people around here know us by name. We’ve been at this address for a good bit now and don't plan on moving. You might see us unloading trucks in the morning. It’s just us doing what we know how to do with fabrics every day. Nothing more to it than that. We try to keep things organized but it's hard when you have so much material coming in and out of the doors every day. It is just the reality of the business.
