Priya Garden Restaurant

If you’re ever walking around Nana Varaccha in Surat, you’ll find Priya Garden Restaurant right opposite the Chowpatty. It’s an open-air kind of place, which is nice when the weather isn't too hot. We have a lot of tables set out so families can come and enjoy a meal together. Being near the Chowpatty means we get a lot of people who are out for an evening stroll. It’s not a fancy indoor place with air conditioning everywhere; it’s more about being outside and having some space. We’ve been here for a long time, and the garden area takes a bit of work to keep looking decent. Sometimes the wind blows the napkins off the tables, or a stray bird might get a bit too close, but that’s just part of being a garden restaurant. We don't do any big advertising. We just rely on the locals who know us and the people who happen to be passing by the Chowpatty. Our menu is pretty simple and has the things that people in Surat like to eat. We try to keep the prices fair so that a regular family can come here without it being a huge expense. The kitchen gets really busy on Sunday nights, and you might have to wait a bit for a table, but most people don't mind the wait. It’s a relaxed spot, and we try to keep it that way for everyone who visits for dinner.
