Priya Fabrics

Priya Fabrics is tucked into Adarsh Market-1, units 3029 and 3030. We are right across from the Surat Textile Market on Ring Road. It’s a huge area and easy to get lost in. We also have that spot at Plot No. 380 in G.I.D.C. Pandesara. So we are back and forth between the two places quite a bit. Pandesara is more industrial, with lots of trucks and dust. The Ring Road shop is more about the constant flow of people. We deal with a lot of heavy rolls. Moving fabric from the truck into the market is a workout. You don't need a gym when you work here. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because the roads get messy. We just cover everything in plastic and wait it out. It’s a lot of plain work. We don't have time for anything fancy. The office part is just a desk with a lot of papers on it. We drink a lot of water because it gets stuffy inside. People stop by and ask for things and we go digging through the shelves. Sometimes we find something we forgot we had. It’s just how it is when you have so much stock. We’ve been in this part of Surat for a long time now. It’s home. We usually close up when the sun starts to go down and the traffic gets really bad. It takes a while to get the shutters locked up right.
