Prafful Sarees

Our shop, Prafful Sarees, is located at G 3 in the Sagar Shopping Center on the Ring Road. It’s a convenient spot on the ground floor, so people don’t have to climb any stairs to reach us. We focus on sarees, and the whole shop is basically one big collection of different fabrics and designs. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, and we use a small ladder to get the things from the top. The lighting is just standard tube lights, which shows the true colors of the sarees we have on display. The Ring Road is always a hub of activity, and the air is often thick with the sounds of the city. Inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter, though you can still hear the bustle from the hallway. We spend a lot of our time unfolding long sarees to show the patterns and then carefully folding them back into their plastic covers. It takes a lot of patience to keep everything neat, especially when it’s a busy afternoon. We don't have a big team of sales people; it’s just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes we share a meal in the back of the shop when there's a quiet moment. We’ve seen many people come and go from the Sagar Shopping Center, but we just keep our focus on the sarees and the daily routine of the market.
