Perfect Dresses

Perfect Dresses is based in the Bhagatalao area of Nanavat in Surat. If you know Surat, you know that Nanavat is one of those old parts of the city with narrow lanes and lots of history. Our shop is right in the middle of all that. It’s a small place, and we’ve been here for many years now. The streets outside are always crowded with cycles and people walking. We sell all kinds of dresses, mostly the traditional ones that people around here like. There isn't much space inside, so we have to be clever about how we stack the boxes. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that hum all day. It gets very busy during the wedding season because everyone wants something new. We know many of the families who live around Bhagatalao. They have been buying from us for generations. We don't do any online selling or anything complicated. You just come in, look at the fabric, and we help you out. Sometimes we sit on the floor to show the sarees or dress materials to the customers because it's easier. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but it's what we know. The smell of the street food from outside sometimes drifts in, and it feels like home. We just keep doing what we've always done for our local neighbors.
