Pavitra Sarees

Pavitra Sarees is located inside the J.J A/C Market on Ring Road. We are in shop S/215. Being in an air-conditioned market is a bit of a relief because the heat outside on the road can be really something else during the summer months. Our shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with different kinds of sarees. It’s a small team of us here, just family and one or two helpers. We spend our days talking to customers and keeping track of what’s coming in from the manufacturers. Sometimes the stock arrives late and we have to scramble to get everything sorted before the morning rush. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that; we just rely on the people who walk through the J.J market doors. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for customers, then a lot of fast work once it gets crowded. We keep a small stove in the back for making tea, which helps during the slow hours. We’ve been in this same spot for a good while, and most of the regulars know us by name. It’s a steady job and we like the community feel inside the market buildings. We just keep doing what we do.
