New Bombay Fast Food & Vada Pav is Shop No 28 over on K K Nagar Road in Ghatlodia, specifically in Magan Nagar. It is not a very big space, but we make it work for what we need. The smell of frying oil is pretty much always there, and you can see the steam coming off the big pans. We spend a lot of time standing on our feet, flipping things and getting orders ready for people who are in a rush. The counter is usually covered in little bits of paper and napkins during the rush hour. A few plastic chairs are kept outside on the sidewalk for people who want to sit down and eat their food quickly. Ghatlodia is a busy area, so we get a lot of students and office workers coming through, especially in the evenings when everyone is hungry after work. The walls have some tiles that are a bit cracked, but they are easy to wipe down at the end of the night. There is a small sink in the corner for washing up and a fridge that makes a loud humming sound. It is a noisy, busy place where we just try to get the food out as fast as we can. We don't have any fancy menus, just the things we make every day on the stove. It is just a regular shop where we do what we can to keep things moving along.
