Midtown Restaurant

You can find us on Station Road in Surat. We are right across from the railway station and near the Ayurvedic Hospital. It’s a spot where there’s always something happening. People are always rushing to catch a train or just arriving. We started this restaurant because the location was good for hungry travelers. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings and evenings. We have a mix of local people and visitors. The tables are set up to fit as many as we can without it being too tight. We don't have a designer interior. It’s just plain walls and some pictures here and there. The kitchen is right at the back. You can hear the pans clanking and the chefs talking. We serve a lot of different dishes, mostly stuff that people around here like to eat. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when the train arrives and thirty people walk in at once. We do our best to keep up. My uncle used to run a shop nearby, so we know the area well. The hospital being close means we get staff from there too. We keep the place open long hours. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we do. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just see the sign and come in. It’s been that way for years now and it seems to work for us. We just keep our heads down and cook. It is a simple life on a busy road.
