Our factory is spread across Plot No-261/A and 172 in the G.I.D.C. area of Pandesara. If you’ve ever been to Pandesara, you know it’s a place that never really sleeps. Krishna Art Silk Cloths is right in the thick of it. The sound of the looms and the smell of the fabric is something we’ve lived with for a long time. It’s hard work, and the floors are always covered in bits of thread and silk. We don’t have a fancy showroom with mannequins. We have piles of cloth and people who know how to handle the machinery. It gets hot in the G.I.D.C., especially during the summer months, but we keep the fans going and the production moving. This isn't a hobby for us; it’s our life. We’ve seen the textile industry change quite a bit, but we just keep doing what we know how to do. The guys on the floor have been with us for years, and we’re more like a big, slightly dysfunctional family than a corporate entity. We don’t put out fancy advertisements. People usually just look at the silk and decide for themselves if it’s what they need. We deal with wholesalers and traders who know where we are. It’s a noisy, busy, and messy place, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We just focus on getting the weave right and the colors looking good.
