Kohinoor Cafe And Restaurant is right there on Station Road in Surat. We are directly across from the railway station, so we see thousands of people passing by every single day. The 395003 area is probably one of the most crowded parts of the city. We have been in this building for a long time, and the walls have seen a lot of history. It’s a very simple cafe. We have fans on the ceiling that stay on all day because of the Surat heat. The tables are basic and we don't use tablecloths because it’s easier to clean them without. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a corporate office. It is just us and the staff working the floor. People are usually in a rush because they have a train to catch, so we try to be as quick as we can. The noise from the station and the traffic on Station Road is always there in the background. We serve tea and coffee along with regular meals. We don't have a fancy chef with a tall hat, just people who know how to cook the local way. Most of our customers are travelers or people who work near the station. We open up very early to catch the first trains and we don't close until late at night. It’s a busy, practical place for anyone who needs to eat or rest their legs.
