Khodiyar Handlom

Khodiyar Handlom is down on Varachha Road in Sector 45 B. We are on the ground floor, right below Shreeji Hospital. It’s a busy location because of the hospital traffic. You can usually find us without too much trouble since we are at number 2. We deal with handloom items and have been doing so for quite some time. The shop is filled with various fabrics and goods. It’s not a perfectly organized showroom, but we know where every single item is kept. We spend a lot of our time talking to customers and showing them what we have in stock. The light in the shop isn't the brightest, but it works for us. Working below a hospital means there are always people around, even late at night. We’ve got a small staff and we all know each other well. It’s a bit like a family business even if we aren't all related. We keep things simple. No fancy computer systems or anything, just pen and paper for most of our notes. The floor is made of plain stone and it stays cool in the summer. We enjoy the work because we like the materials we handle. There’s always something to fold or move around. It's a steady life here on Varachha Road. People know they can find us here from morning until evening. We just keep doing what we’ve always done.
