Kedyo

Kedyo is up on the third floor of VR Mall on Magdalla Road in Surat. We are in the food court section, specifically FC-3. If you’ve been to the mall, you probably know how big it is, so finding us can take a minute if you aren't looking at the signs. We are right across from the Pizza Hut, which helps people find the spot when they are wandering around looking for something to eat. Working in a mall is a bit different than a street shop because we have to follow all the mall rules about when to open and when to take the trash out. It gets really busy on the weekends with families walking around, but during the week it is much quieter. We spend a lot of time behind the counter getting things ready. The air conditioning in the mall is usually running high, so it’s a break from the Surat heat outside. Our space isn't huge, just enough to get the cooking done and serve the people who come to the counter. We don't have our own private seating since it is a food court, so people just grab their food and find a table nearby. The Dumas Road traffic outside is always a mess, so we are glad to be inside. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the mall rush, but it’s what we do every day. We just focus on the orders.
