Our place is located in President Plaza on the busy Ring Road in Surat. We take up a few units from 101 to 104 in the A Wing. It is quite easy to find since we are right above the City Corner Hotel and very close to the RTO office. Being on Ring Road means there is always noise and traffic outside, but it brings a lot of people to our doors. We serve thalis because that’s what people around here seem to want most. It is a lot of work to keep all those different dishes ready at the same time. The kitchen staff starts very early to get the lentils and vegetables going. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We just want to provide a place where you can get a full meal and head back to work or home. The chairs are wooden and the tables are long so we can fit more people during the rush. My brother and I run the front desk and make sure the serving goes okay. Sometimes we have to tell people to wait a few minutes when it gets really packed. Surat is a city that loves its food, so we have to stay on our toes. We keep the place simple and focus on the daily cooking. That's really all there is to it. We have been in this building for years and we like the crowd.
