K G N Chinese Point

K G N Chinese Point is out on the Main Road near the Pumping Station in Saiyedpura. We are right there on Ved Road in Surat, 395003. It’s a busy spot where there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving about. We’ve got our setup right where people can see us as they go by. Most of the work involves the big woks and the high heat needed for Chinese cooking. The smell of ginger and garlic is usually hanging in the air around our corner. Ved Road is a place where people are always on the move, so we try to keep things fast. We don’t have a lot of fancy seating; it’s more about getting the food to the people. Sometimes the smoke from the cooking gets a bit thick, but that’s how you know the food is being made fresh. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. We are just a local point where you can get a quick meal. The staff is mostly busy chopping vegetables or tossing noodles in the pans. We stay open until fairly late because Surat is a city that doesn’t sleep early. It can get a bit messy during the rush hours, but we clean up as we go. We’ve been at this location for a while now and we know the rhythms of the street and when the crowds will show up.
