Kathor is where we keep all our gear. Jalaram Mandap Service has been around these parts for quite some time now. If you’ve ever seen a wedding or a big prayer meeting around here, there is a good chance we were the ones hauling the poles and the heavy fabrics. It’s physically demanding work, especially when the sun is beating down on us in the afternoon. We have stacks of chairs, various colored cloths, and all the framing needed to build a decent-sized structure out of nothing. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Mostly, it’s just the warehouse and our trucks. When someone has a function coming up, they come find us. We talk about how many people are coming and what kind of space they have. Then we load up the stuff and get to work. Sometimes the ground is uneven or the wind picks up while we are setting things up, which makes things tricky. We just deal with it as it comes. We aren't some big event planning company with brochures. We are just local guys who know how to set up a mandap so it stays standing. Our family has been doing this for years. You won't find us on any billboard. People in the 394150 area just know where we are. We show up, do the heavy lifting, and then come back to take it all down once the party is over. It is honest work and it keeps our hands busy.
