Jalaram Khichdi

You can find us over at Golden Park on Anand Mahal Road. We are right on Adajan Road in Surat, just across from the Prime Arcade. Most people in this part of 395009 know where that is. We have been serving khichdi here for a while. It is a simple dish and we don't try to make it anything more than what it is. The kitchen stays busy with big pots of rice and lentils. We start early in the morning to get everything ready. Adajan Road is always crowded and there is a lot of noise from the shops nearby. We aren't a big chain or anything. It's just a local spot where you can get a hot meal. We see a lot of people coming in after they do their shopping at Prime Arcade or the other stores around Golden Park. The tables are basic and we don't have any fancy decor. We just focus on the food and keeping the place clean. Sometimes it gets really packed and people have to wait, but nobody seems to mind too much. We just do our best to get the food out fast. It is a lot of hard work and the steam from the pots makes it hot inside. But we like the routine. We have been here for years and we know the neighborhood well. It is just a normal day at Jalaram Khichdi. We just keep the pots boiling and the floor clean.
