Our foundry is located at 260/2B in Pandesara. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking closely, but we are right behind the Gadia Public School. You can often hear the school kids playing during their break while we are back here working with the metal. The air around the foundry is always thick and warm because of the furnaces. It’s not the cleanest job, as there is always soot and sand around from the casting process. We’ve been operating in this spot for years, and the building shows its age a bit. We don't have a big corporate office; our workspace is where the actual melting and pouring happens. Most of the guys here have been doing this for a long time and don't need much instruction anymore. We just get the molds ready and start the day’s pour. Sometimes things don't go perfectly and we have to redo a batch, but that’s just the nature of foundry work. We keep a few chairs in the corner for when we can take a breather. The floor is mostly dirt and concrete, and there are piles of scrap metal waiting to be used. It’s a tough, physical way to make a living, but it’s what we do. We aren't doing anything flashy, just solid metal work for whoever needs it in the industrial area.
