You can find Essar at number 9 in Gurunagar Society, which is over in Bardoli. We are part of the Surat district here in Gujarat. Our office is right in a residential society, so it’s got a very local and neighborly feel to it. We aren't tucked away in a tall office block. Instead, we are part of the community here in Gurunagar. It’s a pretty quiet place most of the time, which suits the way we like to work. We don't go for any of that high-pressure corporate style. We just come in, have our tea, and get down to business. Being in Bardoli means we aren't right in the middle of the massive Surat city rush, but we are close enough that it doesn't matter. The house number 9 is where we do all our planning and daily operations for Essar. It is a modest setup with just the basics. We keep things simple and try not to overcomplicate our workspace. There aren't any fancy slogans on the walls or big posters about company goals. We just know what needs to be done and we do it. It’s a comfortable spot and the neighbors are friendly enough. We’ve been here for a while and have no plans to change how we do things. It’s just a normal place for normal people to work. It’s nice being able to walk to the local market for lunch. We keep our schedules flexible but we're usually here by nine.
