Essar

We are located on the third floor of the Tulsi Darshan society over in Varacha, Surat. It’s right near Yogo Chowk, so it’s always busy outside our windows. Essar isn’t a huge operation with hundreds of people; we’re just a small group working out of unit 114. Surat is famous for its business energy, and we definitely feel that every day. The office is pretty basic—just some desks, chairs, and the usual equipment we need to stay on top of our work. We spend a lot of time on the computer and talking to people who come by. Varacha is a lively neighborhood, and there is always something happening on the street below. We’ve been in this building for a bit now, and we’ve settled into a routine that works for us. It’s not always perfectly quiet, as the sounds of the city come right through the glass. We don't really have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. People just come in, we talk about what needs doing, and we get to it. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which keeps us moving I suppose. It’s a practical place for a practical business. We just try to keep things simple and do our jobs the best we can without making things complicated. Most people around here are just trying to get through their list, and we are no different.
