Down here in Petlad, things move a bit slower than the big cities. We are located at 33-Navapura in the Pirwala Falia area. It is a quiet neighborhood most of the time, though you can hear children playing in the street in the evenings. Our spot is part of the local community here in Gujarat. Most of us grew up around these parts or have lived here long enough that we know almost everyone on the street. Working at Essar in a place like this means you stop and talk to people on your way in. It isn't like those corporate offices where no one knows their neighbor. We have a simple setup. The building is just a regular house style that we use for our work. In the summers, it gets quite hot, so we keep the fans running all day. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or chat until it comes back. It is a very practical way of living. We do our work, keep our records straight, and go home to our families nearby. There is no big sign or anything flashy. Just a door and a workspace. It feels right to be part of the Navapura fabric. We have been at this address for a good stretch of time and it suits us just fine. The local market is just a short walk away, which is handy for lunch.
