About Delhi Public School, Surat – Education in Surat
The school sits out on the Surat-Dumas Road, not too far from the airport. It’s a busy part of the city, especially in the mornings when the buses start moving through Gavier. You see the gates open early. The staff usually gets here before the sun gets too hot. It’s a large plot of land. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place running, checking the hallways, and making sure the classrooms are ready. Most days are pretty much the same. You hear the planes taking off every now and then because of the airport nearby. The road outside can get a bit dusty during the dry season. We’ve been at this location for a while now. Parents pull up, drop their kids, and head off to work in the city. Inside, the walls have the usual posters and student work pinned up. It’s a practical setup. There are benches in the corridors where kids sit during breaks. The trees around the perimeter provide a little shade, which helps when the Surat heat kicks in. We don't have a lot of fancy stuff, just what's needed for a school day. It’s mostly about getting through the lessons and making sure everyone stays on schedule. Some days the wind blows in from the coast side. You can tell we're on the outskirts. It’s a bit quieter than the middle of Surat but still stays active from dawn until the last bus leaves.
