Coffee Culture The Ristorante Lounge

Our place is tucked away at Parle Point, specifically on the 3rd Cross of N M C Lane, near the Rangaswamy Temple Street. It’s a bit of a long address, but once you find us, it’s a pretty relaxed spot in Bangalore. We call it Coffee Culture, and it’s meant to be a lounge where you can actually sit down for a while. Unlike the small kiosks, we have a bit more room here. People come in to escape the Bangalore traffic, which is usually pretty terrible on the main roads. We spend a lot of time making sure the coffee is okay and the food comes out right. It’s a mix of a restaurant and a lounge, so you see people doing work on their laptops or just friends meeting up for a long talk. The area around the temple is always busy, but our lane is slightly quieter, which is good. We’ve had all sorts of people walk through our doors. It’s not perfect—sometimes the power goes out or it gets too crowded on a Saturday night—but we do what we can. We started this because we liked the idea of a place where you could get a proper meal or just a drink. The staff here are mostly local guys who know the area well. We just try to keep the atmosphere decent for whoever stops by. It takes a lot to keep a place like this running every single day.
