36 Sarees is based at B-1004 in the Surya Complex, which is right on the City Light Main Road. It’s a bustling area, and there’s always a lot of foot traffic and cars outside. Our place is up on the tenth floor, so we’re a bit removed from the immediate noise of the street, though you can still hear the horns honking down below. We deal in sarees, and our unit is usually packed with bundles of fabric and boxes ready for shipping. It’s not a fancy showroom with mannequins and big mirrors. It’s more of a functional space where we manage our inventory and handle the daily side of the business. We spend a lot of time sorting through colors and fabrics, making sure everything is where it should be. The Surya Complex is a big place, and sometimes people get a little lost trying to find our specific wing, but we’re always here. We don't have a mission statement or any corporate slogans. We just sell sarees and try to keep things organized. It’s a family-style operation, and we don't worry too much about being polished or perfect. We just want to make sure the stock is good and the orders go out when they are supposed to. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives, but we just work around the boxes and keep going. That’s just how we do things.
