J J Handicrafts Mayur K Petigara is on the 1st floor of the Sardar Complex. This is in Adajan Dn, right at the Gujarat Gas Circle. If you know that circle, you know how busy it gets with all the cars and rickshaws going around. Sardar Complex is a familiar building for most folks in this part of town. Being on the first floor is nice because you don’t have to climb too many stairs, though the stairs are a bit steep if you're carrying anything heavy. We have a lot of stuff tucked away in here. It’s not a showroom where everything is perfectly placed. It’s more of a working space where things are moving around all the time. Mayur K Petigara is the one running things. The windows look out toward the circle, so you can see the city moving all day. It gets a bit noisy with the horns, but you get used to it after a week or two. We’ve got some old fans that hum while they spin. The space feels lived-in, not like those new glass buildings they are putting up everywhere now. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. People come up the stairs and usually find us pretty quick. We just focus on getting things done and keeping the place going. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here at the Gujarat Gas Circle.
