Chhowala Kirtiben

I am Kirtiben Chhowala and my business is located at 6/1819 in Mahidharpura. I am right by the old Swadeshi Mill and directly opposite the police gate. This is one of the busiest parts of Surat, especially with all the diamond and textile work going on around here. It’s a very old area, so the streets are narrow and there’s always someone pushing a cart or riding a scooter right past my door. It can be quite loud and hectic, but that’s the spirit of Mahidharpura. My place is just a small, practical room where I handle my daily tasks. It isn't a modern office with glass walls or fancy air conditioning. It’s just a regular old building that has been here for years. I like being near the police gate because it makes the area feel a bit more secure, even when it’s crowded. I start my day early because the market starts early, and I usually don't leave until the sun is well down. I don't use any marketing people to write about me; I just tell it like it is. I’m a local person doing my bit in this big city. If you come by, you might find me drinking a tea or talking to a neighbor while I work. It’s a busy life but I wouldn't know what to do with myself if it were quiet. The mill might be old, but it still feels like the heart of things.
