You can find our place at Khan Cottage on Chinar Avenue. We are right in the Naseem Bagh area, not too far from the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar. It’s a very beautiful part of Jammu and Kashmir, especially when the trees are full of leaves. We run our college activities from this office. It’s not a huge campus with lots of different buildings. It’s more of a quiet, personal place where students can come to talk to us directly. We’ve been here for a while and have seen many different students come through our doors. Most of them are local kids who want to learn something that will help them later on. We don’t have a marketing department or any glossy flyers. We just focus on the classes and making sure the students have what they need for their studies. Sometimes the winters get very cold here and we have to keep the heaters going all day. It’s a bit different from colleges you might see in the bigger cities down south. We like the slower pace of life in Srinagar. It feels more personal this way. We don’t make big promises about the future. We just teach the courses and hope the students put in the effort. Dealing with the paperwork and the exams takes up most of our time. It’s just us doing our part for the local community in the valley.
