Kashmir University, Srinagar.

We are over at the Department of Chemistry at Kashmir University in Srinagar. The campus is beautiful, but our labs are where we spend most of our time. It smells like chemicals and old books most of the time we are in here. We have students coming in and out, asking questions or working on their experiments throughout the semester. It’s a bit of a maze in the department, with hallways leading to different storage rooms and lecture halls. I’ve been here a while, and it feels like a second home to me. We aren't just about the heavy academic stuff; we are just people who like science and living here in Srinagar. The 190006 area is where you’ll find us. Sometimes the equipment is a bit old, and we have to fix things ourselves to keep the research going. We sit around and talk about results while the rain hits the windows in the afternoon. It’s a community of researchers and teachers just trying to understand the world a bit better. We don't have fancy leather chairs, just wooden stools and lab benches that have seen better days. It’s practical and sometimes a bit messy with all the beakers and papers lying around. But we know where everything is. Life at the university is steady, and we just keep doing our thing, year after year, teaching the next group of kids what we know about chemistry and life in general.
