Our school is located in Mattan, which is a quiet part of Anantnag. We have a decent-sized building here where we hold classes for children of all ages. Despite the name, we are a local establishment run by people from around here. We have classrooms set up with the usual wooden benches and desks. The morning assembly is usually the loudest part of the day. After that, things settle down into the routine of math, science, and languages. We have a small yard where the kids play during their lunch break. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that’s just how it is in this area. We don’t have a massive budget for decorations, so the walls are mostly plain. Teachers here are local folks who walk or take the bus to work every day. We spend a lot of time checking notebooks and making sure the kids are keeping up with their work. It’s a straightforward place. Parents come by to talk about their kids' progress, and we sit in the small office to have those chats. We try to keep the school running smoothly regardless of the weather. When it snows, things get a bit slower. We just focus on the curriculum and getting through the school year. It’s not a complicated operation, just a place for learning in Mattan. We've been here for years and the neighbors know us well.
