Shamyana Restaurant

Our restaurant, Shamyana, is located right on Boulevard Road in Srinagar. We are actually part of the Shamyana Lodge building. If you are walking along the edge of the lake, you can easily find us near Ghat Number 2. It’s a very famous part of town and everyone knows it. The view of the water is nice, of course, but we are just a regular place at heart. Our address is 190001. We’ve been here for a long time and we have seen many different travelers come and go over the seasons. We don't have a big corporate strategy or a board of directors. We just open up the doors and serve whoever walks in. The staff are all local people who know the area and the lake very well. It gets very busy during the tourist season, but we try our best to keep things steady and calm. We don't use any fancy advertisements or social media tricks to get people in. Most people just find us while they are walking by the water or if they are staying at the lodge for a few nights. It’s a simple operation for us. We focus on the basics of running a restaurant day by day. The location is great, but we don't let that make us act too fancy or expensive. We are just a local business on the Boulevard. We keep the place tidy and the food ready for the guests. If you’re at the ghats, you’re only a few steps away from us.
