Sameer Restaurant

We are located in the Bhat Complex at Nowgam Chowk in Srinagar. Our spot is right by the bypass, near the Jammu & Kashmir Bank. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise and traffic outside. We started this restaurant to serve simple food to the people working in the area. The menu isn't very long. We just make what we are good at, mostly local dishes that people want for lunch or a quick snack. The space inside is quite small, so it can feel a bit cramped when the afternoon rush hits. We have a few wooden tables and chairs. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy decorations or music. We just focus on keeping the kitchen going. The winters in Srinagar are very cold, so we try to keep the place as warm as possible for our customers. Sometimes the electricity is a bit unreliable, but we manage with what we have. Most of our customers are the same people every day, like the bank staff or the drivers passing through the chowk. We don't do any advertising. People just see our sign when they are stuck in traffic. It’s a basic, honest business. We just want to provide a decent meal at a fair price without any extra fuss or complicated things.
