Root2Fruit Farms Private Limited is also located at Lane 7, House 28 in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar. Even though we share the address, we have our own way of doing things. We focus on getting the fruit from the roots to the people, which is where the name comes from. Being in the heart of Srinagar means we are always in the middle of the bustle. The house is a practical base for us. We use it to organize the logistics of moving fruit from the orchards to the markets. It’s a lot of work that people don't see, like scheduling and making sure the crates are clean and ready. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just want to get the job done properly. The rooms are filled with the sound of people talking and the hum of the city outside. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, and we have to do things the old-fashioned way with pen and paper. We’ve all spent time in the fields, so we know how hard the farmers work. We try to respect that by being as efficient as we can here in the office. It’s not a glamorous job, and we spend a lot of time worrying about things like fuel prices and road closures. But at the end of the day, it’s satisfying to see the trucks loaded up and headed out.
