Appfrost Cold Store Private Limited is a bit different from the farms around here because we focus on the storage side of things. We are based in Hyderpora, Budgam, specifically at Farooq Ahmad Malla’s place in Waza Bagh. In this part of Srinagar and Budgam, keeping the produce cool is a major issue once the harvest season starts. We opened this place because we saw far too much fruit and vegetables going to waste just because there was nowhere to keep them fresh before they hit the market. It is a private limited company by name, but it feels more like a local service to us. The building is a functional one, built specifically for this job. We don't have any decorations or a sales team. It’s just about keeping the machines running and the temperature at the right level. Farooq is usually on-site making sure the equipment is working like it should. 190014 is a busy area, and we just fit into the local landscape. We aren't here to give anyone a sales pitch or fancy promises. We just have the space and the cooling units to store the goods. It is a big responsibility because our neighbors trust us with their harvest. We don't use any corporate jargon. If something breaks, we fix it. It is a straightforward business for people who need to keep their products fresh.
