If you walk past the cricket ground in Village Gundbal, you’ll find our place. We are Dharmajivan Export Pvt. Ltd., and we’ve been operating out of this spot for a while. Being right next to the cricket ground is actually pretty nice. On the weekends, we can hear the cheering and the games while we work. Pampore is a good area for our export business. We handle a lot of local goods that need to be sent out. This involves a lot of packing, taping up boxes, and double-checking all the labels. The warehouse can get quite drafty when the winter rolls in. We usually wear our heaviest coats and keep a kettle going for tea to stay warm. The village is a tight-knit place, so everyone knows when a big shipment is going out. Our team is small, and most of us grew up right here in Gundbal. We do all the office work in a little room off to the side of the main floor. It has a nice view of the surrounding fields. Sometimes things get slow when we are waiting on shipping schedules, which can be a bit of a headache. We use old wooden pallets for stacking the boxes, and there’s always a pile of them near the gate. We aren't some high-tech factory. It’s mostly just manual labor and keeping track of everything. It’s steady work and we enjoy being part of the village.
