You can find us over at House No 1 in Saraswati Vihar, which is in the Lower Muthi area of Jammu. Inderjit is the one who mostly looks after things here. We are into plant biotech, but don't let the big name fool you into thinking we are some huge factory. We are actually a pretty small operation working out of a residential area. We spend our time looking at plants and trying to figure out better ways to grow things or keep them healthy. It’s a lot of quiet work, mostly focusing on the science side of agriculture rather than just the farming itself. We don’t have a big front desk or a team of salespeople. If you come by, you’ll likely just find a few of us busy with our samples and notes. We started Nic Plant Biotech Private Limited because we wanted to do something a bit more technical right here in Jammu. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which suits the kind of work we do. We don't spend money on fancy ads or anything like that. We just focus on what we are doing with the plants and hope the results are useful for people. It is a bit of a different path than traditional farming, but it still comes down to the same thing—trying to understand how things grow in our climate and how to make that process a little bit better for everyone who works the land.
