Kohimaran Apple Farms Private Limited

Our place is located right in Chattabal, over at Rampora in Srinagar. It’s Mohammad Imran Lone’s house, number one, so it’s easy to find once you get into the lane. Being in the middle of a residential area means it feels more like a home than a big company building. We focus on apple farms, which keeps us busy most of the year, but especially when the harvest time rolls around. Srinagar has its own pace, and we try to stick to that. Some mornings we start early when the air is still cold, getting the paperwork sorted or making calls to the orchards. The house is always a bit busy with people coming and going. We don’t have a big sign or anything like that, just the address. People know us in the neighborhood. We talk a lot about the weather because that’s what matters for the fruit. If there’s a late frost or too much rain, everyone feels it. It’s a lot of work keeping track of the trees and the boxes, but we’ve been doing it long enough that it feels natural. We eat our lunch together and talk about the local news. It’s a simple setup. We aren’t trying to do anything more than run the farms properly and make sure the apples get where they need to go without too much fuss. There is always tea on the stove if someone stops by to talk about the season. It is just life in Rampora for us.
