Mudasir Restaurant

Mudasir Restaurant is located on Dharamdas Road in Srinagar. We are quite close to Bishamber Nagar, so we get a lot of people from the neighborhood coming in. The street outside can be a bit quiet in the mornings, but it picks up as the day goes on. We start the fire in the kitchen early because it can get quite cold here in Srinagar. The smell of the food usually drifts out onto the road. We don't have any fancy decorations or modern furniture. Everything we have is simple and has been used for a long time. Our tables are sturdy, and we keep them clean as best as we can. A lot of our customers are workers who just want a warm meal and a place to sit for thirty minutes. We know most of them by name since they live just around the corner. The shop isn't very large, so it feels a bit cramped when it's raining and everyone wants to be inside. We don't spend money on advertising; we just rely on people walking by. Sometimes the tea runs out faster than we expect, and we have to scramble to make more. It is a very basic life we lead here on Dharamdas Road. We just keep the doors open and the food hot for whoever walks in. It is an honest day's work for all of us in the kitchen and at the front.
